comments:  These candleholders are similar to a previous pair (#236) in using zebrawood, cherry and ebony, but are several inches taller. The first set seemed to turn out so well, and the new owners seemed so pleased, that I felt the concept deserved revisiting. The zebrawood in this case is more sparsely striped but the effect of enclosing it in ebony to confine its boldness appears to repeat well. They handle the extra height well. As expected with ebony, the gleaming smooth clear finish gives the impression of great  depth. One of the detail photos shows how these holders look when fitted with 12" white candles.
